Judy & Ken Hickman

Ken and Judy Hickman are very active in the La Center community. During their careers, Ken worked as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Judy worked as an RN. She retired in 1995 and Ken retired in 1996. They were raised in Massachusetts and have lived in Tucson AZ, Portland, OR, Freeland WA, and now in La Center

Ken has been involved with several Homeowners’ Associations, and very active in the Lions Club. He is past president of the La Center chapter, and received the Lions International Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. He also volunteers for the La Center Museum Association and is Past Adjutant American Legion Post 189 in La Center. Many groups have benefited by Ken’s fundraising talents.

Judy was born and raised in Reading, Massachusetts and Melrose Massachusetts. After retiring from nursing and moving to La Center she has also been active in the Homeowners Association, serving as its secretary. She is a member of the Lion’s Club and Treasurer of the La Center Museum Association.

Judy is one talented lady. She quilts beautifully, and some of her quilts have been raffled off in fundraisers for the Museum Association. She also knits, does cross stitch and needlepoint, is adept on the computer, and if that isn’t enough to keep her busy, she loves to read and volunteer.
