Dennis came last week from Hawaii with two grandchildren to learn more of his ancestors, Theodore Vanairsdale and Peter Vanairsdale, who came to La Center in the 1880’s and apparently settled on acreage presently owned by the Taylor family about a mile south of my property.  I arranged for them to meet with Don Taylor who lives on the southern end of Taylor Valley Road, who was happy to help.  There was at least one marriage between the families and both men were pleased to meet a “new cousin” and share stories.  The cemetery stones at Mt Zion were located by Dennis and the grandchildren.
